Eminent Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ECHF) is a registered non-governmental, non-religious, non-political and not-for-profit organization, established in 1999 and got registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria on the 20th of July 2005. The organization is committed to the holistic development of mankind by means of leadership development, charitable activities and various humanitarian tasks.
We work directly with communities, non-governmental organizations and at times governments to access people’s needs and to develop the most appropriate and effective ways to support them in overcoming their social, political and health needs. Our work is concentrated on the most vulnerable group of the Nigerian society, that is, women, children, youth and people with disabilities and people living with HIV/AIDS. We achieve our objectives through advocacy, sensitization, service delivery and awareness creation.
VISION
ECHF envisions a society where mankind, especially the vulnerable groups (women, children, youth, disenfranchised, people with disabilities, patients of infectious diseases, and victims of natural disasters) have privilege to their rights, educationally, socially and developmentally.
MISSION
Promote the principle of caring for one another’s well-being and fostering the spirit of mutual understanding and support within the context of sustainable human development.
Goal
Our goal is to ensure the rights of women, children and youths including the downtrodden sre respected and protected irrespective of their social, religious, political and economic background.

Our scope of work cuts across all the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, but with special attention to the South-West Geopolitical Zone.

STRUCTURE OF ORGANIZATION
The Board of Trustees of ECHF is made up of 5 prominent personalities selected from different part of the Country. It comprises of 3 males and 2 females. The educational backgrounds cut across different professions which include Education, Health, Economics and Community Development. The Organization is made up of 15 members of staff including volunteers who are being headed by the Executive Director, who also doubles as the Secretary of the Governing Board.
ORGANIZATION CAPABILITY
We are a versatile CBO/NGO in the area of capacity building. We have a pool of experienced resource persons to work with and our past activities as regards this proposed action speak volume. We have been in the capacity building work for over years now. We are banking on strategic methodologies with sereis of cutting edge programmes because we are not new to informal training. We believe our strategic methodologies on (cutting edge programs) activities will achieve the intended results because they had been employed in another project that was test run in one of the selected benefiting communities for the proposed programme.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT CAPACITY
ECHF has highly qualified financial officers with experience ranging from 7-25 years in grant management. The foundation has policies and guidelines for all financial operations which have been developed into standard operating procedure (SOP). We also have sets of internal controls that ensure accountability and limit conflict of interest. The financial manual briefly covers some other areas like petty cash holding, budgeting, renovations and chart of accounts and jpb descriptions of the core finance personnel. Also a project is available to make our work an easy task.
We keep separate bank account for every project with reputable commercial banks in the country. In our financial records, all direct expenses are charged to the appropriate project while indirect costs like rent, salaries of shared staff, indirect labor, vehicle maintenance and fueling etc. are apportioned on a rational basis to each of the projects. Financial reports are extracted from our records according to the donors’ guideline, where no such guideline exists we provide reports using our own template.

The key target groups are as follows; 1). The aged, 2). Women including pregnant women, 3). Children, 4). People with disabilities, 5). People Living With HIV/AIDS and People Affected By AIDS and Malaria T.B Patients 6). and Youths.

Membership of Networks/Coalitions:
We aspire to be a source of mercy and relief for mankind in order to impact sustainable livelihood into every lives of the less privilege people. To achieve this, ECHF works to enhance the quality of good life for the poor, those that are suffering through natural disasters or otherwise disadvantage. So, we welcome volunteers and others related across the globe to help us on these blissful activities.
