Project Overview

1. Introduction

Eminent Charitable and Humanitarian Foundation (ECHF) sincerely appreciates Children Must Live (IACSO) for its financial support towards this mini-project, which provided food and refreshments to 15 children.

The intervention provided an opportunity to demonstrate care, compassion, and solidarity with the children.

2. Funds Received and ECHF Contribution

Children Must Live sent US$55 for the project. However, due to cryptocurrency transaction charges, ECHF received US$54, equivalent to approximately ₦75,000.

ECHF contributed an additional ₦50,000 from its own resources to ensure successful implementation.

3. Items Purchased and Project Activities

The funds were used to purchase food ingredients, refreshments, and other materials required for preparing and distributing meals.

Items purchased included:

  • Rice for preparing jollof rice
  • Cow intestines
  • Tomato paste
  • Groundnut oil and butter
  • Eggs and fish
  • Pepper and salt
  • Bottled water
  • Soft nylon bags
  • Transportation to the market for purchasing supplies.

Meals were prepared and distributed to the 15 children. Each child also received ₦1,000 for transportation to their respective destinations.

4. Appreciation and Recommendations for Sustainable Support

ECHF sincerely appreciates Children Must Live and its management for remembering these children and supporting this humanitarian intervention.

However, we wish to respectfully emphasize that these children need more than a meal for one day. They need meaningful and sustainable interventions that can transform their lives and secure their future.

We therefore encourage future support for:

  1. Education: School fees, learning materials, and educational opportunities.
  2. Moral Development: Mentorship, counselling, and character development.
  3. Economic Empowerment: Vocational training, skills acquisition, and entrepreneurship opportunities.
  4. Child Welfare: Consistent support for their safety, wellbeing, and development.

Occasional feeding programmes are valuable, but sustainable investment in children's education, moral development, and economic future will create a more lasting impact.

5. Photographic and Video Documentation

ECHF documented the project through photographs and videos showing food purchases, preparation, activities, and distribution to the children. These materials are available as evidence of implementation.

6. Conclusion

Once again, ECHF expresses its sincere appreciation to Children Must Live (IACSO) for its financial assistance.

We look forward to stronger collaboration and the opportunity to implement more sustainable programmes that will give vulnerable children hope and a better future.
